Anoka Area Kiwanis club just achieved Blue-level Today Club status by donating $10 per member to the Kiwanis International Foundation.  Our club received this patch for that accomplishment.

Kiwanis's Annual Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale - 10/28/2018

On Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 we'll again host our annual Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale at the American Legion in Anoka.  We'll be serving pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee from 8 AM until 12:30 PM.  There is also a bake sale going on with this event.  All of the proceeds go to support the children in our community.  Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting a Kiwanis member or at the door the day of the event.

Ramsey K-Kids "Build" School Brick by Brick - 04/18/2016

The K-Kids Student Council group from Ramsey Elementary has completed their project "Cents for Sudan".  Students brought in baggies with coins and for each donation they made were given a brown brick to write their name on.  Then they pasted their brick on the Sudan School and watched with amazement as the building grew.  They even needed "additions" put on. Along with the donations from Ramsey students, the Kiwanis, and other personal donors They raised almost $5,000.00. Everyone's generosity was so heartwarming. The money was brought to The Royal School International and the women have already started making the bricks.  Once the school is complete...

Anoka Key Club Serves Up a Tastey Project - 04/18/2016

On Sunday, April 17th, five students from the Anoka Key Club served a meal at the Ronald McDonald house.  Meals are served to the families of children receiving treatment at the University of Minnesota hospital.  The Key Club students shopped for, prepared, and served a meal of tacos and Spanish rice - with Rice Krispie bars for dessert.  It was a fun and rewarding volunteer experience!

Congratulations! Our Anoka Area Kiwanis club has achieved Blue-level Today Club status for the 2014-15 Kiwanis year. That means our club’s gifts to the Kiwanis Children's Fund reached or surpassed a per-member giving average of US$10. As part of your Today Club benefit, we have earned a digital patch to post on your club’s website and social media pages.

Anoka Area Kiwanis Reaches their Eliminate Goal - 03/22/2015

Anoka Area Kiwanis Club is extremely proud to announce our club has reached its Eliminate goal.  The club decided on a $20,000 goal which averages  $400 per member and meant that more than 11,000 women and all their future babies were protected from MNT.


To raise this money, initially we asked members to donate their spare change (“Your change can make a change”) at each meeting.  Then one of our members, Bruce Frank, agreed to sell raffle tickets at one meeting a month ($1 per ticket, or 6 for $5) with the winning ticket holder receiving half the pot.  Most of the time the winner donated their winnings to Eliminate.  For 2 years, the proceeds from...
